The Spirit of ’76 Challenge is Texas’ newest homebrew competition, and the first to be devoted to lagers and ales of American origin. Sponsored by the Horsemen of the Hopocalypse in conjunction with The Colony’s Salute to Heroes Veteran’s Day festivities, the competition seeks to acknowledge this country’s veterans by celebrating beer styles that are uniquely American. Our proud country has developed a strong and diverse beer culture, and it deserves to be celebrated and recognized.
